There was a point in my life when all three of my kids couldn’t speak a word of Yoruba.

My children had become cultural ORPHANS.

Three kids... with zero connection to their heritage.

It took me a while to process what I was going to do about this.

But at the time, I had also realized most of my neighbors' kids as well as my children's friends, couldn’t speak the language either.

I had made a crucial mistake.

So, I began to organize classes in my home for my kids and a few of their friends.

I made the choice, during the pandemic, to NOT let another generation forget WHO THEY ARE.
